Adaptive Physical
Education is a program designed to help students with gross motor
difficulties. The objective is to improve those skills, succeed in
their growth and optimum motor development so they become healthy
and fit individuals.
This
winter/spring, the Elementary Adapted Physical Education students
have worked on various gross motor skills. They have worked on
locomotor skills, fitness skills, balancing skills and ball skills
which included catching, throwing, striking, and aiming at
targets. These pictures demonstrate the students working on
balancing, jumping, catching, and running.
