School Improvement School Choice Notice
| The Watertown High School is in School Improvement under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. As a Title I school, we must offer public school choice after being identified as needs improvement. Our district is required to offer you transfer options, if at all possible, for the 2009-10 school year. There are no other high schools in our district that we can present to you as transfer options. However, the district reminds parents that South Dakota has an open enrollment policy in which parents can choose to send their student(s) to a school in another district. If you choose to exercise this option, the district is not required to pay for the transportation. |
