SATISFIES COMPUTER REQUIREMENT

This course satisfies the state’s
computer literacy requirement. It will expose the student to the
applications of the iWorks package, including word processing, spreadsheet,
presentation, and
publishing templates. In addition to the iWorks package, student will be exposed
to the iLife package,
which consists of movie making, photo slideshows, creating music and web page
design. In the realm
of the internet, students will learn how to effectively use Web 2.0 tools and
implement ethical and safe
use of the internet, including copyright policies. The intent of the class is
introductory. Each student
will be expected to demonstrate mastery of the outcomes listed in each of the
software areas.
Assessment will be in the form of project based outcomes and presentation
communications.
