This course is designed as a basic introduction to the art of photography. Emphasis will be placed on the artistic elements of photography as a medium and the importance of photography as a form of artistic expression. Use of the camera and various darkroom processes and techniques will be practiced during the quarter. It is especially recommended for students who plan to enroll in Journalism. Students will use a school-owned single lens reflex camera during this course.
