This course provides experiences in writing new stories, feature stories, and opinion articles. Students learn how to conduct interviews and express themselves in concise style. Writing which is objective and factual will be emphasized. Students will practice gathering information and other’s opinions in proper journalistic style. Time will be spent learning journalistic grammar. Deadlines are strictly enforced. Students may contribute to the publication of the Purple and Gold school newspaper. This course does not count toward Senior English requirement.
