AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

 

ELECTIVE

ELIGIBILITY:  11, 12

PREREQUISITE:  Chemistry, Biology, Algebra I and visit with Mr. Reidburn before registration.

CREDIT:  1

This one credit course will cover major environmental topics such as Earth systems and resources, the living world, populations, land and water use, energy resources and consumptions, pollution, and global changes. This class is recommended for students who are interested in zoology, botany, agriculture and natural resource studies, natural sciences, or environmental conservation. AP Environmental Science uses lab experiences and field investigations to allow students to learn about the environment in "real-world" settings. A College Board AP Exam will be given in May. College credit can be earned by passing this test.   Cost of the AP exam is approximately $90.
