FUNDAMENTALS OF CHEMISTRY

PREREQUISITE:  General Science I & II ; Recommendation by teacher/counselor

CREDIT:  1

This course studies the structure of atoms, formation of compounds, and mathematical relationships involving chemical reactions. You will also study reactions which occur in gases of the atmosphere and solutions of aquatic environments. This course is an alternative science course for students whose needs cannot be met in the regular chemistry course. This one credit course must be recommended by a teacher/counselor and meets one of the lab science requirements for high school graduation, but does not meet college entrance requirements.
