Analyze and understand major historical events and concepts from the rise of Islam through the post World War II era. In addition to using the text, the students will learn about history through the use of primary and secondary sources and through select historical novels. Evaluation of learning will be based on essay tests and short papers. In this course the student will also study and discuss local, state, national and international current events.
