English 9 enhances student skills in reading, writing, and listening through the study of novels, short stories, and composition.  Grammar units include the study of the parts of speech, parts of a sentence, correct usage, capitalization, and punctuation.  Vocabulary, and comprehension tests will be given.  Compositions will include narrative, expository, book reports, and journals.
