DIGITAL PRINT & PAGE LAYOUT - DIGITAL GRAPHICS

Students will investigate art elements and principles of
design, along with some basic sketching.
Students will explore brand marketing and how digital images affect the world of
advertising.
Students will learn more about vector graphics and how to create digital artwork
through the use of
Adobe Illustrator. The students will explore the conventions of print design and
proofing, page layout
techniques, typography, digital color, and more using Adobe InDesign. Students
will create different
forms of printed materials such as brochures, business cards, package design and
more. The students
will tour business and industry that specialize in this field. Students will
explore the careers that exist
in the area of Desktop Publishing, Printing and Advertising. Students are
invited to participate in
SkillsUSA. Articulation credits with SD technical schools are available.
