WEB DESIGN

PREREQUISITE: Good computer skills

The students will be introduced to the basic elements of HTML
and create their own web pages using
the Hypertext Markup Language. Students will learn the proper design elements
and navigation in
developing Web pages and examine the good and the bad in Web Design through
application-based
projects. The students will design their own web pages using a software called
Dreamweaver.
Students will learn how to create buttons, tables, hypertext, links, style
sheets and more, while
integrating them into their own design work. Students will also learn how to
integrate other digital
media into their web designs, such as Flash Animations. Students will explore
the careers surrounding
the Internet and Web Development. Students are invited to participate in
SkillsUSA. Articulation
credits with SD technical schools are available.
